How Can A Painful Finger Blister Due To A Splinter Be Treated?

My daughter (7 years old) got a splinter in her finger 3 days ago. I thought I got it all. but today she is screaming it hurts. Sin he has been soaking it water and that helps. The end of her finger looks like it is getting a big bister on it. Is there anything else that it could be? She is screaming in pain when it is taken out of the water.

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

You should do an X-ray image to exclude fissure and fracture of the finger. If it is normal, she should consult an orthopedic doctor to put it in splint.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Salah Saad Shoman, Internal Medicine Specialist
