How Can A Painful Red Bump On The Inner Thigh Be Treated?

Hi! I don’t know if I can send picture but, I have this awful red bump on the inside of my thigh that has been persistent for about two weeks. My parents suggested trying to pop it to try and get any infection out but nothing happened. Now I’m in pain every time I walk because my legs/leggings will touch the bump and it will hurt. I went to the doctors and he gave me a crème but that didn’t work, what should I do?..

Hello,

It might be an abscess. You can send a picture in the follow up query so that we can make a better evaluation. As of now you can take a short course of antibiotics preferably Amoxclav for five days. Analgesics/anti inflammatory combination can also be taken. If symptoms persist, better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
