How Can A Poor Diet Causing Weight Loss Be Improved?
My daughter is 2.10 years old and is anaemic (hb-9.8). recently she is eating poorly n her wt is dropping. she was 12.6 kgs at her last doctor s visit a month ago. which would be the best multivitamin syrup to give her? she is taking vitcofol syrup 5 ml everyday, for the past 4 months, and still no improvement in her hb.
HI...you are giving a low dose of iron. Vitcofol you need to give at 3.5ml twice a day so it comes to 3-6mg/kg/day of elemental iron per day. No need to give any other multivitamin syrup. Another issue is that she is not underweight - 12.6kg for 2.10 years is appropriate if the kid's activity is normal.
At his age interest in play increases and interest in food decreases. This is quite natural. If she is active and playing around you need not worry. This age rather than the quantity of the food I suggest you concentrate more on the number of times you feed her and also make whatever you feed him calorie dense by adding good amount of ghee to it.
