Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...Hello, What specialist deals with prolapsed rectum and constipation. I have had serious problems with it no matter what I do. I could drink 2 gallons of water, use benefiber, eat fiber, prunes, take docusate and still my stool wants to come out large and sideways. Hi and welcome. Rectal prolapse can usually be reduced with gentle digital pressure. Sedation and local perianal anaesthesia may help the reduction. Contributing factors should be treated - eg, constipation or diarrhoea. Prompt surgical referral is recommended for an irreducible prolapse and for strangulation or gangrene of the prolapsed tissue.Wish you good health.
