Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a healthy 65 year old, postmenopausal. I started with occasional bleeding a few years ago and immediately went to my gyn..exam and ultra sound was performed, had a polyp. That was removed and benign, also had a biopsy, benign. No bleeding for a year, started again, back to gyn, another ultrasound, negative for anything, no bleeding and now it s back. Not sure what else to do? Thank you.
Treatment of small polyps is unnecessary unless you have complications like bleeding, pain etc. Certain medications may shrink the polyps and lessen symptoms. You should consult your doctor about these medications.
Hope my answer was helpful. If you have any other question Ill be glad to help.
