How Can Acid Reflux Be Managed While On Bupropion And Prozac?

I take 40mg prozac twice daily for severe depression. I also take bupropione. When I take all 3 together I get debilitating heart burn. So I decided to take them all at different times i.e. 1 prozac in the mornings the bupropione in the afternoon and the 2nd prozac in the evening. This started today with taking at different times. I just took my last prozac 30 min ago. I still got horrible heart burn. Is there any way to still take my meds but not get horrible heartburn?

Hi,

Yes, Prozac can cause stomach problems. This can be tried to avoid by taking the drug after meals.

However, if you have severe burning and you cannot stop the drug then you should use some acid-suppressing drugs with it like Omeprazole once.

This would probably help. If didn't I. Prove you may need to see your doctor and tho k about changing the Prozac or reducing the drug.
