How Can Alzheimers In Elder People Be Treated ?

My elderly mother,86, has alzheimers and diabeties. She complains of excruciating pain when they take her blood pressure . She also startles very easy and complains of noise anytime a few people get together. Is this normal for alzheimers or possible her medications? How can we relieve some of these stresses?
