How Can An Underweight Child Gain Weight?

Hello i am sara From Pakistan! My daughter is 14months old! Her weight is 7.3kg. Her birth weight was 2.5kgs. She is very active and happy baby but skinny! About her eating habbits she is very moody! I nurse her. I give her egg, banana chicken and other fruits and sometimes dalia as well! I have not set fixed time table but i feed her time to time. But she has not gained weight in last 4 months! I am very worried! Please suggest me recipies that help in weight gain

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As your baby is playful and active there is nothing to worry. If you are making her eat biscuits and snacks please stop that. Your baby should have gained 10kg min by now. As you are making her eat all protein rich food nothing to worry she will slowly gain weight. Increase the number of times you feed her.
