Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
I have studied your case and I would recommend you to get x ray of the ankle joint to make sure that there is no fracture or ligament injury of the ankle joint. Till you get this I would suggest you to follow these steps.
1. Ice fomentation of the ankle
2. Apply voletran ointment
3. Tablet Brufen 400 mg daily
4. Compression bandage around ankle joint.
I hope after following these steps you will feel much better. I would forbid you to massage your ankle or put too much stress over it. I hope these steps will be helpful for you. Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
thanks
