How Can Anxiety Disorder Be Treated?

The doctor prescribed generic zoloft for me because I have anxiety from time to time and need something just for the particular time. I asked for klonopin which is, she said, controlled. I only need it at times and not something to take on a regular basis. I am not depressed, so should I start taking this or what should I do to just get something for anxiety.

I have read and understood your concern
Zoloft is an antidepressant very effective in the management of anxiety disorders.Being generic does not mean that the drug is not good.If the case, your Doctor will not prescribe it for you.It will help.
Klonopin is a benzodiazepine used to treat certain seizure disorders and panic disorder (including agoraphobia) in adults.I feel you should take zoloft as prescribed by your Doctor as it is more indicated in the treatment of anxiety disorders than klonopin.
