How Can Backache Be Treated?

I have had back pain for a month now. I have been on a steroid and muscle relaxers. I went back to the doctor and she did an X-ray. Told me I have a kidney stone in my left kidney but no spinal issues. It doesn’t bother me at night, only during the day as I move around. It’s like a spasm in my lower back....I don’t recall doing anything that would have injured my back...what could it be other than a pulled muscle...
