Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How Can Body Ache And Fever Be Treated While Suffering From A Dilated Cardiomyopathy?
I woke up this morning aching all over. I thought it was from working out yesterday, but it seemed more than that, so took my temperature and it was initially 100.3. It has now gone up to 101.1. No other symptoms. I am 74 and a heart patient (Dilated Cardiomyopathy,) so try to be cautious with signs of illness. I've had both flu and pneumonia shots, but there is no stuffiness or difficulty breathing
Viral fever could be the cause of body temperature gone up to 101.1 degree centigrade just wait for some time, no need to treat this fever even I would suggest to have anti-pyretic (medicine for fever) because it is not confirmed fever due to infection.
It can be physiological or it can be due to hormone changes, it is advisable to take body temperature every after two hours with different thermometer.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Akhtar Husain
