How Can Brittle Nails Be Treated Apart From Taking Calcium?

Hi I am 76 years old in November I was hospitalized with C Diff. Now I have trouble with finger nails being soft and breaking back as far as they can go. I take 1200 of calcium a day also drink 2 % milk. Is their something I can do for my nails , they hurt being broke.

Hi,

Brittle nails could be caused due to iron deficiency. Kindly take iron supplements and include iron containing foods in your diet. Gradually, you should be able to overcome it.
