How Can Bronchiectasis Be Managed?

What foods causes Mucus? I have Bronchiectasis which from having Pneumonia frequently (once as a Baby had to learn to walk all over again. Late 20 s off work for several weeks and Nothing Stayed Down for weeks. Lastly this Mid-December 2017 and Finally hospitalized January 3rd thru 8th, 2018 discharged with Oxygen in My home for 6 weeks. Anything in the Air can knock Me Off My Feet. Weather change from Hot to Cold, Windy even some house whole cleaning. I live in Los Angeles, California and I can go from Fine to Coughing to My Head off and Sever shortness of Breath. Oxygen Count from good to high 90 s to 86 - 88 in a blink. I just finished Rehab Physical Therapy through Kaiser Permanents 6 weeks, 3 times a week and built up to 1 hour work out using Treadmil, Nu Pen and Rowing Upper Body Equipment. A variety of tools to use at home to help My Damaged Lungs gain better Breathing Strength. Which I feel and was told I m doing really good. Then Friday and Today/Saturday What The Heck Happened To Me? All Down Hill. . . is it various kind s of Foods I should avoid eating to Reduce This Mucus? Please Help Me If You Can! I Am Doing All What My Doctor Suggests/Recommends and some and Exercises as the various Therapists Speaker s and Video s recommended. Thanks Helen Marie

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

That is not the food habit which can make the condition worse.that what you are mention it's due to your lung condition.for which you have to take care by precautions and avoid thing and conditions which make you sick.that is condition in which permanent bronchial dilation is there so infective agents and microbes easily get entry and cause problem.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
