How Can Chronic COPS And Bronchitis Be Treated?

I am a care provider and close friend that is 89 years of age. he is in very good health conccidering his age. he suffers with cronic COPD and broncitis. His only allergic to Sulfa drugs . The other day when he was getting ready for bed I noticed his legs where covered with a hive looking rash. I countinued checking his torso , head , arms. hesaid that his bad itched a bit but wasnt to uncomforatable at all. he hadnnt even noticed the condistion developing. he wont go to the Doc. I stressed the importance of beeing checked out. he won t go unless he becomes uncomforatable. what should I do? thank you, Claudia Gunn of Hinkley, Ca. P.S. Im Not in the postion to pay for a mediacal question. so I guess were out of luck.

Hello,

It is possible that it may be an allergic reaction. Since it has a hive appearance and it is itching. The use of an antihistamine like Benadryl or Claritin or Allegra or Zyrtec may be helpful. It would be important to determine the source of the reaction you get.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James
