How Can Chronic Constipation And Fatigue Be Treated?

Yes. My mother is 88 and has been constipated for 4 days and has had only cereal yesterday morning. This morning and thru the day today she is throwing up dark green and yellow fluids. She can t keep water down and she doesn t want anything to eat or drink. She is very lethargic and very pale.Is there something going on outside of being constipated.

Hi,

I understand your concern.

Being constipated in a 88 years old patient for 4 days associated with throwing up dark green and yellow fluids could be a significant symptom of ileus (blockage of bowels).

I advise to get her visited by her doctor to rule out ileus first, which is an emergency and should be treated in time.

Hope this helps.
