How Can Colon Blockage With Loose Stools And Pain Be Treated?
I have a blockage in my colon I have cronick waterey stools I have a appoment in 2 weeks for a colonoscopy but have lots of pain so I took 4 dulolax and noticed in the toilet bowl a big blob of whithe fluffy slimy ball kinda thing still lots of pain what should I do?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood the concerns. Blockage of colon, chronic watery diarrhea can be due to many a reasons like: Cancer of colon. Fecolith impaction. colitis and so on. Until colonoscopy is done after 2 weeks as per an appointment go to ER or Urgent care. Clinical evaluation, examination and investigations like X-ray of abdomen, ultrasonography and tests of stool, blood and urine will help to know the cause. Even a Ct scan of abdomen may help. I think you need a Saline-soap enema for clearing the stools. A course of an antibiotic, metronidazole can help. Take probiotics. Avoid the foods and beverages that instigate or enhance the symptoms.
