How Can Constipation Despite Taking Miralax Suppository Be Treated?
I have been having constipation issues for going on a month now. I have used miralax, ex-lax, suppositories lots of water and I drank a bottle of mag citrate. Nothing worked until the mag. I had an x-ray last week prior to the mag and it did not appear I had a blockage. I went on Monday and the stools were kinda skinny. I had been working out on a regular basis and quit about 3 weeks ago but I have been working on getting back into within this last week. I do have hypothyroidism but my levels are good.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Constipation maybe due to many causes like sedentary lifestyle , low fiber diet ,endocrinal abnormalities, Parkinsonism or Alzheimer's disease etc.
Need to get gut bowel movements, and also colon examination by colonoscopy.
Please consult your doctor. He will examine and treat you accordingly.
Take care.
