How Can Constipation That Has Occurred After The First Shot Of Prolia Be Treated?

I took my first shot of Prolia last September. Since October, I have had constipation in place of my regular, life-long kind of bowel movements. What do I do to solve this problem? Even gentle laxatives, like Ducolax, turn to diarhhea rather than getting me back to regular bowel movements, not just hard ones or drabs of movements. I am taking magnesium, which is supposed to help, according to my gastroenterolgist.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As a first line management you can take antibiotics like amoxclav for infection.

You can also apply topical antibiotics like mupirocin.

If infection persists, secondary suturing might be required.

Consult a general surgeon and he will direct you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
