How Can Dementia And Alzheimer S Disease Be Treated?

My parents are 86 and live in their home. They refuse to leave or give up any control to me, their only child that lives near them, and their symptoms of dementia/alzheimer s are worsening. My father is totally disabled and needs 24 hour care/supervision. My mother has 2 caregivers during the daytime only, which she refuses to give up. One of these has run off 2 of my father s caregivers; the last one was a registered nurse who gave him the best care he has ever had, in my opinion, but he fired her after only 5 weeks and hasn t found a replacement in 2 weeks. They both want me to leave them alone. They say they are doing just fine. Any suggestions?

Hello,

Thanks for your query on HCM

"As"per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this -

1)Regarding treatment discuss with your treating Doctor about [donepezil] and [Memantine].

2)Make a plan for exercise at least 30mins in the morning and 30 mins in the evening.

3)Give water more than 7 glasses per day and give milkshakes with added protein powders and these are available at any drug stores.

Hope that helps
