How Can Diarrhea And Appetite Loss In A Child Be Treated?

My child is having loose motion almost 4 times since morning .stool is very slimy. Yesterday I consulted the doctor. He prescribed zinconia one time a day that is only in the night. But today frequency of loose motion have increased so can I give him zinconia twice a day. He had fever sometimes. Have vomoting since yesterday. He had lose of appetite.

Good day and thank you for posting this question. Sorry about your child. Your child have acute gastroenteritis. He will benefit from oral rehydration salt and Zinc. You need not increase the zinconia, once daily is okay. Continue feeding him. If symptoms still persists kindly take him to the hospital, he might need intravenous fluids.
