How Can Diarrhea And Appetite Loss In An Infant Be Treated?

My 1 year baby is passing a watery stool with pus cells I consulted to child specialist he said my child will be fine he prescribed zinc suspension to my kido. Plz guide me what should I do . Should I need to make changes in my diet. What should I eat that will not affect my child.my baby is not eating anything Taking only feed so I m worried about her

Hello,

It could be due to viral gastroenteritis most probably. As of now continue breast feeding and give ORS. Most of them settle by themselves without definite treatment. If symptoms persist or incase of symptoms like fever or blood stained stool, better to consult a pediatrician start on antibiotics.
