How Can Diarrhea Be Treated?

Hi, my dad,60yr old, who is adiabetic patient for the last 15 years, having loose motion(7 times since evening). We have given norflox but its not stopping.. We have given two ors & electrol power pack since he is not taking food. .. Can we give him one more norflox?

Brief answer :yes, you can give another norflox.

Details answer :
°Actually acute watery diarrhoea mostly is self remitting,
°Maintain hydration is most important.ORS should be continue upto loose motion stop.
°Your father is diabetic person , must follow up for blood sugar.
°If he is not taking adequate food stop anti diabetic medicine for sometime.

Observe the situation , if not improve soon then he need intra venous fluid through hospitalization.
