How Can Discoloration On The Ring Finger Be Treated?

Hello doctor, thank you for taking my question. I have a change of color (black and blue ) on my ring finger of my right hand. The color starts from the nuckel, of the finger approaching the tip of the finger. There is no sensation of numbness, tingling or pain. I can move it with no problem. Does this merit an emergency visit, or urgent care visit?? Thank you so much for your help! Mary

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Consult a physician and get evaluated.

Get an ultrasound scan done to assess the blood circulation as poor blood supply can cause ischemia and discoloration.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
