How Can Diverticulitis Be Treated?

Just diagnosed with diverticulitis. got it early. Relatively little discomfort, regular stools (albeit narrow and softer). ER confirmed w a catscan and gave me flagil and antibiotics. Kept to liquids 1st 2 days (water, tea, coffee, cranberry juice, consume). Added rice, homemade vegetable soup, hot chocolate and white toast days 3 and 4. Today added 2-3 oz of roasted chicken breast and mashed potatoes. My questions: 1) Am I on the right track? 2) Should I keep to meat and carbs for now? 3) At what point (after what time frame) do I start to introduce fiber and ruffage (salad) and when do I move to high-fiber? Thank you, Michelle
