How Can Emaciation, Vomiting, High Fever, Bruising With Body Scarring Be Treated?

I recently took in a fourteen year old boy from Russia, he is extreamly emaciated and pukes up nearly everything I feed him, he has developed a high fever, and he is bruised, cut, and scarred all over his body (His parents were abusive, and he lived on the streets for years) I am really unsure of what to do right now. Thank You for your time, Elliot

Pediatrician, Pulmonology 's  Response
Hi,

I really do appreciate your effort and humanity. Usually, if we start feeding such kids they will start vomiting because of dumping syndrome because they are not used for good food for long. You need to go slow on the diet and under the supervision of a pediatrician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Sumanth Amperayani, Pediatrician, Pulmonology
