How Can Fatigue, Diarrhea And Severe Pain Due To IBS-D Be Treated?
So I ve been to many docs. for 35yrs and I m at the point where I can no longer live like this.. diagnosed as IBS-D. At Univ of Mich. Had gallbladder and appendix removed. Neg for celiac and parasites. I m having sever diarrhea every three days or so with a normal bm 2 or 3 times a month. I get extreme fatigue 2-3 hours before a bad bout of diarrhea severe pain when I eat. Sometimes immediately,sometimes hours later. anti diarrhea sometimes work. Sometimes not. My life has turned into a guessing game. It seems they want to classify every international disorder as ibs, change diet and all will be fine. Not the case for me...any suggestions?????

BAM-Bile Acid Malabsorptions Syndrome from POst-Cholecystectomy-Bile Acid Overloading with Malabsorptions Syndrome.
SOD-Sphincter of Oddi with Dysfunction-needs to be ruled out by ERCP-edoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography.
Treatment-
Tab Cholestyramine/Welchole /Colestid - which binds the Bile Acids oveload would reduce this frequency of diarrhea-as in BAM-syndrome.
Low fat Low protein High Carbo diet would reduce theses complaints from reduced cholecystokinins.
Tab Enzar-Digestive enzymes would also reduce this diarrhea by better digest of fats and proteins.
Tab Bentyl 1- 1 -1 x 3 times a day to relieve this pain.
