Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son was 4 yrs old. Last sunday he got fever and vomiting. we gave him Colpol 250 when fever was below 100 degree F and Meftal P of 6ml when fever was equal above 102 Degree F. after 2 days he started with frequent loose motions. when consulted with a pediatrician, they suggest to give ORS and light food. after that since 2 days he is suffering from motions with some blood and mucas. y day we visited the doctor again suspected that this is due to some infection and gave OFM suspension and Soborm Z sachet. after starting with OFM frequency of motions and blood mucas was reduced. but still he is having motions 3 to 5 times a day. plz suggest whether the treatment given to him was correct or any changes required in medication. Thank you in advance
I think your doctor have prescribed the right medicines for your child. Give it some time to recover as it takes around week to recover completely. Go and see your doctor if your child is not tolerating any food or is getting lethargic.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
