How Can Further Heart Attack Damage Be Prevented?

I recently had a cardiolite stress test and the cardiologist told me my results were good. My dr. told me the report he sent to my primary physician's office said I have had a slight heart attack in the past. My physician is referring me to a cardiologist and I have not yet heard from that office to set up at time for the results to be interpreted. I do not smoke, do not have diabetes, have low blood pressure and low cholesterol. I don't want to worry excessively about it right now, but find myself doing so. What can I do while I am waiting for the appointment to be set up that would prevent further damage from happening?

hi there will be slight changes in stress stress test, you need not worry about that.As you were explaining that your doctor told you that there is mild attack in the past, few changes do occour in ecg that doesnt mean that you will get heart attack next time, depends on age, smoking status lipid status, alchol habits
Best way to avoid next attack is do regular exercise 5 days a week 45 min a day, have healthy food
There are few danger signs which you need to learn chest discomfort, excessive sweating and palpations if you get any of these please try to go near by hospitalir call emergency services
Bottom line- try to avoid taking stress......have a healthy life style, consult your physician once in a mounth....
