How Can Hernia In Esophagus As Shown On Endoscopy Be Treated?
Hello Dr. I just had a endoscopy I was still out of it because they put me to sleep. I do remember the Dr. telling me that I had a hernia on my esophagus and a big hole that does not seem to close what does that mean. My app. with him is not till next week.

Do not worry. The doctor must have discussed about a condition called hiatus hernia. This is not an uncommon condition and usually results in heartburn symptoms. If you are obese, please control your weight. Wait for the doctor's appointment next week.
