How Can Itchy Ears, Sore Throat And Inflamed Chest Be Treated During Pregnancy?
I have itchy ears feel congested post nasal drip sore itchy throat coughing that my Chest burns. I'm 4 months pregnant. Have been drinking extra fluids used Vicks used saline spray and airborne. Is there anything else I could do? Or is it best to see a dr. I'm afraid of this being an infection
Hello! I have been through your question. Related your concern I think this is a uncomplicated viral situation (flu) . You should know that pregnant woman have a higher risk of getting a viral situation (cold or the flu) because their immune system is weakened during pregnancy and are also more likely to experience complications of the flu. So, what i suggest for you if your symptoms last more than 4-5 days and start having high fever is to meet a doctor, do a physical examination, pulmonary auscultation, full blood count, to define better the diagnosis and to see if you have bacterial complications and need antibiotic. In contrary you should use the above mentioned treatment(that you have started) and eat chicken soup, a lot of fruits, drink warm tea with honey and lemons and get a lot of rest.
