How Can Knee Pain Post An Injury Be Treated?

I fell really hard on tile flooring, landing primarily on my left knee. I m a big girl. My knee was painful but I was able to walk. I have a huge bruise below my knee. This happened 3 weeks ago. There s a numbness below my knee now. The bruise is going away but I still have a lot of pain. I am seeing a doctor on Friday. What could be causing the numbness? I m diabetic and have hbp also. Thanks!

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It might be due to a possible ligament or tendon injury.

Consult an orthopedician and plan for an MRI scan. As of now, you can apply ice packs and take analgesics for symptomatic relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
