How Can Leg Swelling, Ankle And Heel Pain Be Alleviated?

I had hamstring surgery(all three muscles reattached to the bone) one week ago. The swelling in my lower leg(especially my ankle) has not gotten much better, in fact the pain in my ankle and Achilles is worse. I have anti inflamitory meds, have kept it elevated and iced since the surgery. I am also doing gentle ROM and stretching. Should I try something different to help with the swelling and pain?

I have studied your case. Any surgery in keg can cause swelling which may stay for months. So if it is only swelling than it is not a problem.
You are doing right thing by apply ice and limb elevation. You can take Brufen along with seratiopeptidase. This is an enzyme which decreases swelling faster. Also you should apply compression bandage. Continue doing static quadriceps exercise and ankle pump exercises.
If still there is pain than you need to rule out infection. It can be checked by operating surgeon by wound check and blood investigation like ESR and CRP.
