How Can Minimal Spurring Of The Acromioclavicular Joint Be Treated?

My shoulder X-ray shows a “small corticated structure overlying the humoral head measuring 7 mm and may be within the joint. Minimal spurring of the acromioclavicular joint. There is a tiny spur at the superior aspect of the acromion” . Can you explain in layman terms and remedies or treatments?

Hello,

It may be cyst or rotator cuff tear etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

For spurring is treated with local steroid injection or cold compression and rest with painkillers medication is useful.

If symptoms not improved please consult your orthopedician he will examine treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
