How Can Neck Ache With Headaches Caused By Trauma Be Treated?
Hi Doctor,
Two wks ago the ice chest lid slammed the top of my
head as I was pulling groceries out from the back of
my Tundra pick up, kind of high, it was in my blind spot.
Anyways, the dull headache comes and goes and have
a bit of a neck ache too, seem to be almost up to par
but trying to not overdo being active. Celebrex - I risked
taking yesterday and that worked for the neck but this
morning woke early with the dull headache before the 24
hrs was up (200 ml). Half a dose
of hydrocodon I took every three days or so seems better
than OTC Tylenol on the kidneys.

You need to get this evaluated and I would get both skull films and x-rays of your neck to check for fractures.
This may not be anything too serious and may pass soon, but a head blow can cause a neck fracture so you can't take any chances with not getting it checked out
