Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have Her2+ and an 8+. I have been on chemo for 6 months. I had two separate chemo. One thy called the red devil and I don’t remember the other one. I did radiation with 30 treatments. I take 1 mg. Anastrozole every day now. I also have a port and get Herceptin every three weeks now. I got Afib during my chemo and blood clots in my right lung and left leg. So now I take Xarelto 20 mg. every night. I now have neuropathy in my fingers and toes. Is there any way to help my neuropathy?
Chemotherapy or radiation may lead to neuronal damage lead to neuropthic pain. Also taking Vitamin B12 and folic acid is useful. You can use Pregabalin or Gabapentin under your doctor advice.
Capsaicin cream may also useful. Please consult your physician/neurophysician they will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu, Internal Medicine Specialist
