How Can Osteoarthritis Of The Patellofemoral Compartment With Joint Effusion Be Treated?
moderate medial compartment, mild lateral compartment and moderate patellofemoral compartment osteoarthritis trace joint effusion. Small ossific densities along posterior aspect of the popliteral foaas measuring upwards 1 cm likely representing intra-articular bodies within a Bakers s cyst. Mild proximal tibiofibular joint degenerative changes. Well corticated ossific density adjacent to the lateral condyle likely representing prior ligament injury. Small patellar enthesophyte. Atherosclerosis.
It is three compartment osteoarthritis and it need to be treated surgcially. Either a arthroscopic debridement or total knee replacement is best method to treat it . If patient is not willing of surgery then steroid injection, hot water fomentaion and physiotherapy can be used but knee replacement is only definitive solution.
