How Can Osteoarthritis Symptoms Be Controlled?

I have osteoarthritis, very badly, lots of pain, cannot do much housework, walking, getting depressed from this, I am usually very active but these last 7 yrs it s just getting worse. My back, ankles,, upper arms, hands etc. are effected, I cannot take NSAID pills as they bother my breathing really bad, I am 71 and need something for paid, do you have any suggestions I could give to my dr.?

Hi,Welcome to healthcare magic. the drugs useful in ostearthritis apart from NSAID are Diacerine 50 mg daily, glucosamine 1500mg daily and vitamin D SUPPLEMENTATION.Apart from this hot fomentation is effective in reducing pain.You can use stick to reduce pain in osteoarthritis knee.Other option are joint replacement for osteoarthritis of hip and knee.I think this will be of use to you.
