How Can Ovulation Date Be Determined And What Is The Treatment For Ectopic Pregnancy?

I took clomid on 8/1/2013 to conceive and it finally happened but I do not know when I ovulated. My doctor is saying I have an ectopic pregnancy because there is no sac or fetal pole in the uterus so he wants to give a site of methotrexate. What should I do because he thinks I'm 8 weeks but I disagree.

Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
See, let me know the date of your last menstrual period.
Also the normal length and duration of your menstrual cycles.
The dates when clomiphene was taken also.
You might have had a cycle of follicular monitoring with ultrasound serially to track the follicular status.
If you let me know these details I can give you a fairly good estimate of how far gone you are in your pregnancy.

Also, on ultrasound, an ectopic pregnancy should be clearly visualized.
Just the absence of a sac or fetal pole could indicate a miscarriage also.
Before deciding to go in for Methotrexate, have a confirmed opinion.
All the best.
Take care.
