How Can Pain And Swelling In The Feet Due To An Injury Be Treated?
I dropped a 400ml bottle of water on my foot and it hit my toes,I have a slight cut which has bled and after 20 minutes I still have pain and a throbbing sensation,it's tender and sore to touch but I can move it slightly, what would you suggest as in if it's broken or fractured or just swollen.
As per your complain pain and throbbing sensation of the toes after dropping a bottle can be due to soft tissue injury leading to swelling and inflammation causing pain and restricted movement..
If you are able to put weight on your toes then chances of bony fracture are less..
As of now you can take a combination of anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen and muscle relaxant like Chlorzoxasone.. Do cool compresses over the toes.. You should elevate your feet while lying down.. Avoid exerting too much..
In case if there is no improvement in 3-4 days consult an Orthopedician and get an x ray done to check for bony fracture so that treatment can be done accordingly..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
