General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to the workout. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the pain. I also suggest using cold compresses for local application. I recommend to rest and avoid activities that can trigger the symptoms. If the pain continues, you can do an X-ray of the neck for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
