How Can Pain Caused By Piles Be Treated?

I had bands put on my piles 10 days ago. I am still in pain. I have not had a solid bowel movment and if anything i think i use my bowels too much. Most days i go to the toilet 2 to 3 times a day. Is there a reason for this. I think my piles were caused by over use of my bowels.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it is true that chronic hard stools leading to straining and chronic frequent stools can led to piles due to persistent irritation to the veins in the anal region causing inflammation and swelling..
As you have undergone band ligation ten days back, you should now atleast take care of the bowel movements as lack of bowels for long time can cause severe hardening of stools leading to Faecal stones formation, also known as Faecoliths and cause stool accumulation in the colon and can be fatal..
I would suggest you to consult your treating surgeon and get evaluated and he can advise you to take laxatives, stool softeners like Docusate, high fibre diet, moderate body activity as it helps in maintaining metabolism..
Drink plenty of water and maintain proper diet by eating after every 2 hours..
Avoid excess intake of tea, coffee and areated drinks..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
