How Can Pain Due To A Pilonidal Cyst Be Treated?

I have a pilonidal cyst, i am having severe pain on both sides of my butt cheeks, I went to physical therapy, and nothing they had me do would take the pain away, I am wondering if the cyst is causing all the problem, because of the location of it and the location of my pain, which had come out of nowhere about 4 months ago, I am getting the cyst surgically removed next week, and wondering if that might take care of the pain i am in...

Hi,

Surgery is the best option to treat pilonidal sinus. You can consult a general surgeon and plan for surgical excision. As of now you can take analgesics like Aceclofenac or Tramadol for pain relief.
