How Can Pain In The Arms Be Treated?

Hello, I m male, 18 from northern Illinois. I never had solid piano experience/a teacher. When i got my new piano a little over a month ago I went a little overboard playing over 2 hours a day and using excessive force on the piano and now i seem to have pain in both of my hands. Pain is right in front of the spot where the ulnar and the carpol bones meet behind my pinkie. I ve been treating the pain (which started almost 3 weeks ago.) Using carpol tunnel wrist splints, resting the first two weeks (no guitar or other instruments) and using Warm water, Bio Freeze and when the pain is bad Ill do a contrast bath. (submerge the hand in very warm water for 4 minutes and switch and submerge the hands in cold water for 30 seconds to a minute and repeat 3-5 times. I also used some nerve gliding exercises and other wrist stretches to ease te pain which help but it doesnt feel like its a solution... yet For a while I was making progress, but then on some days it feels like the pain is similar to beofre my treatment. If its easier to contact me my number is XXXX Thank you for your time and consideration

Hi,

It is due to inflammatory pain as a result of over usage. As of now you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like Aceclofenac/Seratiopeptdase for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persists you can consult an orthopaedician and plan for an MRI scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
