How Can Pain In The Hands And Thumbs Be Treated?

I fell 8 days ago. My hand hurt. I thought my thumb or wrist was broken. Only certain movements hurt, like shuffling cards. Then it got better. I could shuffle again. Yesterday it hurt again, most of the day but not all. Hurts again today. Couldn’t get back to sleep because of the pain. Any chance it is broken? Should I see a doctor?

Hello welcome to the health care magic

In fracture pain and swelling present along with restricted movement.

Local part x ray should be done to rule out fracture.

In x ray if fracture not present than muscular strain might be the possibility for which ibuprofen 200 mg can be prescribed for five days

Take care
. Hope this solves your concern

Consult orthopedic surgeon for examination and discuss your case
