How Can Pain In The Knees Be Treated?

Hi, my name is Shantee Moyer, about 4 months ago I got stitches in 2 parts of my knee, and since this happened, I have not been able to feel any kind of touch on my knee, also when I bend it is painful and hard to unbend sometimes, my question is should I consult my family doctor about this problem or continue to wait it out

hi mam,as you mentioned about sutures, there might be a hypertrophic scar or keloid at that area.keloid is also a type of scar tissue that usually grows in size and is painful too.its not a serious health issue but can trouble you mechanically and cosmetically.a surgeon can examine and confirm whether it is hypertrophic scar or keloid or any other knee joint abnormalities.for keloid, intralesional steroid injection is the treatment of choice.also just check if there is any swelling with tenderness, redness, pus etc at that area(it indicates some wound infection).so,on examination of knee,an appropriate diagnosis can be made.hope you get my point.any other health queries, please let me know.i’m always eager to guide you.wish you and your family a very happy new year 2018.thank you.take care.bye.
