How Can Pain In The Lower Back And Buttocks Be Treated?

I have pain in my lower back that goes down to my buttocks. I think it started when I was jumping on stacks in the gym. I ve had the pain off and on for a couple of months. I thought it might be coming from an old mattress, which I replaced, but the pain is still present. Seems to get worse when I sit for long periods or when I first get up in the morning.

I would discuss this with your doctor, and have a MRI of the lumbar spine performed, to get a better look at the lower back area, where issues such as a "pinched" nerve could cause your symptoms.
