How Can Pain In The Lower Leg Due To An Injury Be Treated?
I have recently obtained a injury from sport. I was kicked in the back of my leg just below the carf muscle on my left leg. It went stiff and I struggled to continue. After that day I struggle to walk and when I have had my leg elevated and then bring it down it feels as all the blood rushes down and causes a horrible pain through my lower leg. What do I need to do to make any progression on a recovery?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Varinder's Response
Hi,
First of all, please undergo x-ray of the leg as soon as possible. If an x-ray is normal, then undergo a clinical examination by an orthopedic surgeon for tendon muscle injury. If all comes normal, then take any pain killer for a week and give rest to the leg.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Varinder Joshi, General & Family Physician
