General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I would advise you to use ibuprofen as needed. If you can handle the pain, it is not bothersome and you think it does not affect the way you do your daily activities you will not need to use it. Ibuprofen is just a pain killer so you use it only if pain treatment is needed, it will not affect the healing process.

The same applies to the local compresses as well. I would not recommend rest in bed though, you will need to do the daily activities as usual. If pain is the cause to restrict you from doing so, then please take the ibuprofen and apply the local compresses to help with.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
