How Can Pain In The Shoulders And Fingers Be Treated?

Hello. I was shopping in a store, (Homegoods), when I looked up I saw that the carpet I had been looking at had detached and was falling down upon me. The heavy metal latch hit me square on the forhead, and I quickly fell to the floor. I put out my right arm to catch my fall. I remained there stunned, then called for help. My head was bleeding. I was taken to the ER to check for concussion. While my head injury healed, the arm which took the full impact of the fall has become much worse. It has been 10 months and I have daily constant pain from my shoulder to my fingers. I have had many tests, MRI, X-ray, EMG, but nothing conclusive can be found. I had a cortisone shot in my shoulder and it helped for about 6 hours but then got much worse for about 3 days. What can I do?

Anesthesiologist 's  Response
hi mam/sir,thank you for a elaborative history that is essential for a doctor to give suggestion.often we see such cases with severe pain but radiological diagnosis is not definite.i treat my patients by advising them a SELECTIVE NERVE ROOT BLOCK.it is a CT guided procedure.it involves injection of a large amount of steroid and/or local anaesthetic around a specific nerve root.you can consult an aneasthesiologist or a musculoskeletal radiologist.most of my patients got relived of their excrutiating pain.hope my suggestion works to erase your agony.if any more queries, please let me know.take care.bye.
